About Carla

I have been in the hair design industry for 25+ years. My expertise is in hair cutting and hair coloring. I've trained and participated as an educator and platform artist with some of the industry greats. I was an educator in a beauty and barber school for 4 years of my career, two of which were dedicated to teaching hair color and artificial nails throughout the United States. I have had the pleasure of learning razor cutting from Danielle Ruidant, the youngest person to ever win the Hair Olympics for men's razor cutting. Many of the haircutting techniques I use evolved from training with Birgit Hassler of Tondeo Germany, Sam Villa, currently releasing his own line of tools and education in conjunction with Redken, and Irvine Rusk of Rusk International. I received an extensive hair color education from and was an educator for The Framesi Hair Color organization then moved to the It&ly company. Both companies provided me the opportunity to work with the design artists and the head cosmetic chemist from Milan, Italy. Another source of my extensive hair color education came from then Redken Educator, Roy Peters. I was one of the first hair designers in Florida to complete the original Redken Master's program. The program was designed to increase education about Redken color, Redken Home care products and methods of haircutting and coloring to suit any look or hairtype.

I firmly believe in education to help me be the best I can possibly be. I have been involved with many different educational opportunities as an educator and a participant/student. I recently finished my MBA and I am currently in class to earn another Master's degree in the education/adult education field. In conjunction with my graduate program, I take all classes available to me in the hair design industry and business related material. I believe education is powerful and necessary for me to improve my skill sets and my overall knowledge base.
